Pursuit race times
HFSC pursuit times are calculated relative to the club reference boat, a standard Dart 18 (B-2-1T). There will almost certainly be a Dart 18 racing so the offsets, i.e. x mins before (positive offset) or after (negative offset) the Dart 18 start time, are easy to remember for each class and will be the same for every 60, 90 or 120 mins race. We usually run 90 min pursuit races so that time is the one to remember.
Given the values below, then for a 90 mins race with the Dart 18s starting at 12:00, any Dart 16s taking part will start 8 minutes before at 11:52, and any F18s will start 16 minutes after at 12:16.
