HFSC Sailing Club on Hayling Island

It was great to see Netley SC visit us on Saturday - the weather was glorious - apart from the fog that rolled in just as we were going to head off!

Because of this and a slightly delayed start, we held a race in front of the club which ended because of lack of wind - thanks to everyone involved! Despite the weather playing silly buggers it was a great day...

We will make a decision on Thursday evening (based on the weather forecast and interest from the club membership) about whether the race to Netley is on, so if you are interested in going you must let Richard Golden know before 8pm Thursday (07866 838486, or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). If the race to Netley does not take place then we will have racing on the Sunday as usual; a notice will be put on the website accordingly.

Currently we have 3 boats interested in the trip but are short of crew at the moment (for both the boats and the Safety Boat), so if you are interested in crewing or want to sail your own boat please let Richard know.

Netley SC have changed the date of their visit to HFSC and it will now be on Saturday 22nd May. They will be racing to our Club then back again after a brief stop, and have agreed that boats from HFSC can take part in the leg from HFSC to Netley.

Don't forget the first race of the season this Sunday - races 1 and 2 of the Spring series and the weather looks like it might behave!
